What's College student visa?
If you would like to study Japanese more than 6 months in Japan, you can apply for a college student visa through ALA.
The enrolment is the beginning of each term (Jan.Apr.Jul.Oct.)
College student should study 4 hours 5days a week.
College student visa can be extended by 2 years. College students are allowed to work 28 hours/week with permission from the Tokyo Immigration office.
ALA is approved by the Ministry of Justice to apply for visas on behalf of students so that we extend/change students' visa status instead of them.

From Applicant
- Application form (ALA form) EXCELver. PDFver

- A questionnaire for College student visa EXCELver. PDFver.
- A graduation diploma (Original) or a certificate of graduation from the last school
- A certificate of registration (if you are a student now)
- An academic transcript from the last school and the present school
- 5 photographs of the applicant(3x4cm)
- A copy of the passport pages showing your photo, name and immigration stamps for Japan
From Financial Sponsor
※A person who will pay school fees, and living cost. An applicant can be a sponsor.
- Letter of Payment (ALA form) PDFver. *Must be written by hand.
- A payment confirmation PDFver. *Must be written by hand.
- A proof of bank balance
- A proof of occupation
- An official document to prove the kinship if the sponsor is relative.
※You may be asked to submit other documents depending on conditions.
※Please attach translations to documents written in language other than English or Japanese. (Translation by the applicant is also acceptable)
※Please note all documents submitted except the original are NOT RETURNABLE.
FEES
1.Fee paid at the application
Visa selection fee : 21,000 yen
※Please pay above fee by bank transfer or cash at the school after all documents have been completed and submitted.
※The selection fee is non-refundable for any reason.
2.Fees paid before entering Japan
Registration fee : 52,500yen
Tuition for 6months : 299,250 yen
Student Insurance for 1 year : 10,000 yen
Fee for facility and activity : 5,250 yen
Total : 367,000 yen
※All Japanese and foreigners who plan to stay in Japan for a year or more must enrol in the national health insurance system(NHS). Whenever you receive medical treatment for illnesses or injuries, 70% of the medical expense is covered, the same as for Japanese citizens. In addition, 30% of medical expense will be covered by the student insurance program. Thus, all medical expense will be covered by both NHS and the student insurance program.
3.Fees paid after the enrolment（1）
Textbooks・materials : 2,000 yen～10,000 yen/Each term
※Price for textbooks・materials depends on the class. Please pay at school reception on the first day of the course. (paid by cash only)
4.Fees paid after the enrolment（2）
If you wish to extend your study more than 6 months, please pay another 6 months tuition 1 month prior to the last date of the term paid.

※Students with College student visa should pay school fees every 6 months. Instalment payment is NOT allowed.
※In case you have to leave school without completing the course, we will refund tuition for the remaining terms which have not yet begin.
